"Scar" is the debut single from Missy Higgins taken from her first album The Sound Of White. It was written by Higgins and Kevin Griffin of Better Than Ezra. The single is her most successful thus far, entering the ARIA singles chart at #1 and going platinum. It was also voted the #2 song in the Triple J Hottest 100, 2004. "Scar" won Best Pop Release at the 2004 ARIA Awards and was also nominated for Single of the Year, losing out to Jet's "Are You Gonna Be My Girl". In 2005, the song won two ARIA song writing awards for Song Of The Year and Breakthrough Song. With the success of the song, Higgins' personal life has been brought into the spotlight and rumours persist that "Scar" deals with her bisexuality. The song's video was parodied by Rove McManus during the introduction of the ARIA Awards that year. The song is also featured on One Tree Hill The song has been covered by the band 67 Special in Triple J's Like a Version. (via Wikipedia)
